Good Analysis Tool for small sequences as well as keep it simple. The easy interface is very user friendly. It works at system level. helps Every one to understand biologically, and helps to understand sequence information even though we are not a clinician.
The community already has a lot of tools available. The support, tutorials, and tutorials have on the web. I suggest you start reading the manual, taking a look at the tutorial videos, and understanding the tutorials. I doubt the school has a lab environment to teach you about bioinformatics. If that is the case, I would simply read Bioinformatics: A Practical Approach by Babbitt PhD, Stoyan Jovanovic PhD, and Brad J Stubbins PhD.
Submit your best tool for free at geneious.com/submit Tool Features: Parses raw data into aligned and unaligned sequences Supports Fasta and FASTA2/Swissprot for sequence and feature alignments Supports quality scores for nucleotides, amino acids, codon positions Classify indels with a sliding window supports multiple sequence alignment with built-in color highlighting of mismatches or gaps out-groups for easier visualization of results on trees Supports maximum-likelihood phylogeny creation and tree searching
I have a great tool for gene prediction. its from inovagen. Make sure you check it out. I have used it on a few projects already. Also, if you are interested in yeast and fungi genomes, WiseGee is also great. Just go to the mad scientist's web site. There you will find all of the information on what it can do and how it can work. It is not very user friendly. And it is not necessary to get the full version to use it. I used it on a fungal genome that I was working on. also, if you want to identify repeats, try TandemTagger, because it does not need a reference genome. And it can identify repeats with perfect accuracy. I have heard that RepeatMasker and RepeatModeler and Repeat Search, which are both from NCBI, are great at identifying repeats however, the price is around $250 per search. d2c66b5586
