Every time the license server manager is activated, you should create a new combined path to the license files of the license server manager and the license server manager itself. If you do not create a new combined path, or if you use a combined path that is already in use, the license server manager will not start.
The number of characters in the combined license file paths to the license files:
The total combined length of the combined paths to all the license files of the license server manager and the license server manager itself (which should be zero) must not exceed 1024 characters.
To make the license server use the settings of a license server, select the checkbox next to the name of the license server. The MATLAB environment is based on the MathWorks MATLAB® Compiler, or MMC, which is a proprietary language developed by MathWorks to facilitate the building of applications. MMC understands the MATLAB language and various task APIs and provides efficient intermediate language compilers for compiling functions and scripts.
The MATLAB® Engine is the core of the MATLAB product. It compiles, executes, and interprets MATLAB scripts and programs, as well as runs the M-files and M-links created by the MMC. It also allows the exchange of data between MATLAB applications, the MathWorks M-files and M-links, and other programming languages, including C, C++, and Visual Basic. 827ec27edc
